LA SISTER

Born in Baja California, La Sister is a director who grew up influenced by the border culture between Mexico and the United States. After graduating with a degree in Communication Sciences in Mexico City, she studied Film in Barcelona at the Centre d’Estudis Cinematogràfics de Catalunya. Additionally, she took masterclasses with Emir Kusturica, William Klein, and Michelangelo Pistoletto at the Stage Europeo Degli Esordi, directed by Giuseppe Bertolucci, in Lucca, Italy.

In 2020, she was recognized as "Best Emerging Talent" at the London Fashion Film Festival for her work as writer, director, and producer of the fashion film Cosmos. That same year, her short film Los Pedazos del Tiempo won the award for "Best Mexican Short Film" at the Festival Internacional de Cine de Autor.

La Sister balances her passion for directing between film and advertising—two worlds where she visually channels her desire to keep telling stories through powerful imagery.
